A person who is governed more by intellectual decisions than by emotional decisions

Sometimes in life people have to make hard decisions and they do not know what the right decision is. Some people tend to make the decision by following their heart and some people tend to use their brain. Nobody really knows which is best, it really depends on the situation. When people use their mind to make up decisions it is called  intellectual decisions. When people use their heart to make up decisions it is called emotional decisions. People have to think of the "What is the 'right' thing to do?"

One person that I can think of that has to make intellectual decisions is President Obama. He has to make decisions everyday and I do not think the United States would be the way they are if he chose to make emotional decisions. Obama is probably makes some of the hardest decisions everyday, but he does it because that is his job.

There are positives and negatives to rely more on your intellect than your emotions. A positive is that people making the decisions do not just feel bad for the person so they make the wrong choice. For example, if there is someone who committed murder and there wife or girlfriend is having a baby so you let them our of prison to see their child born and they end up killing someone else, that is on the person that let that criminal outs hands. A negative is that you could possibly make the wrong decision by using your mind because you know what people say "Follow your heart." But, there is no 'right' or 'wrong' to everyone, one person could think they are right and one thinks there wrong. Everyone has a different outlook on things.
